TILT supports student and teaching success by providing research-based, classroom-tested professional development for all Faculty, Instructors, and GTAs. These experiences can be used to prepare for annual review, tenure and promotion, or a first teaching job.

Courses and Offerings

Conferences and Workshops: TILT offers the Professional Development Institute and the Summer Conference annually while conducting a variety of workshops on an ongoing basis.

Best Practices in Teaching: 3-week asynchronous Canvas courses on research-based instructional approaches. Participate in a cohort.

Teaching Squares: Semester long, peer observation program. Observe others a few times during a semester, using an agreed upon set of observation norms.

Master Teaching Initiative Faculty leaders in each of the Colleges, the Library, and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs develop MTI programs each semester for their colleagues.
